Each loss of potential is referred to as a voltage drop. In the next part of Lesson 3 we will look extensively at resistance - the cause for these voltage drops.

mentioned

As mentioned in Lesson 1, an electrochemical cell supplies energy to move a charge from its low energy, low potential terminal to the high energy, high potential terminal. In this sense, the cell supplies the energy to establish an electric potential difference across the two ends of the external circuit. Charge will then flow through the external circuit in the same manner that water will flow from an elevated position to a low position. It is the difference in potential that causes this flow.

activity

The activity itself is a worthwhile activity and if not performed before, one ought to try it before reading further. A gravitational analogy was relied upon to explain the reasoning behind the relationship between location and potential energy. Moving a positive test charge against the direction of an electric field is like moving a mass upward within Earth's gravitational field. Both movements would be like going against nature and would require work by an external force. Gen. Dan Cherry, USAF (ret.) volunteered for combat duty in 1966 and 1971, flying over 295 missions, most of them over North Vietnam. On one of those missions in April 1972, Cherry shot down the plane of a Vietnamese aviator, Nguyen Hong My. Cherry always wondered what happened to the pilot he shot down, and recently was given the chance to meet him. Cherry and Hong My met face-to-face in Vietnam almost 36 years to the day of Cherry's shooting down Hong My's MiG-21 fighter. The two pilots appeared together on a Vietnamese TV show, toured Ho Chi Minh City, and flew to Hanoi the next day – passing over the same airspace that had once been the scene of their combat.

The General Electric Aviation Lecture Series

A Pilot and the Enemy He Shot DownSpeakers: Brig. type='text'>Electric Blog Trade

In physics, the space surrounding an electric charge or in the presence of a time-varying magnetic field has a property called an electric field (that can also be equated to electric flux density). This electric field exerts a force on other electrically charged objects. The concept of an electric field was introduced by Michael Faraday.
The electric field is a vector field with SI units of newtons per coulomb (N C−1) or, equivalently, volts per metre (V m−1). The SI base units of the electric field are kg•m•s-3•A-1. The strength of the field at a given point is defined as the force that would be exerted on a positive test charge of +1 coulomb placed at that point; the direction of the field is given by the direction of that force. Electric fields contain electrical energy with energy density proportional to the square of the field intensity. The electric field is to charge as gravitational acceleration is to mass and force density is to volume.

Pakistan

Good Country

Special Blog

see some thing in the world

Faiz Electric

Sell Medical Supplies(cable, Sensor, Cuff, Probe...)
